LIFE SKILLS ASSIGNMENT 3
BAKING COOKIES.
i've always known how to bake cookies,
because i've baked them during valentines,
christmases and so on so forth.
however,
knowing that i can bake cookies,
why would i choose baking cookies at my lifeskills project again?
i feel that i need more improvement on my cookies.
when i bake cookies,
i always feel that i couldn't do it well enough.
because when i bake cookies,
it is always that i overbake them,
causing the cookies to be burnt,
and i would waste the mixture of the cookies,
or else i would have keep baking the same kind of cookies over and over again.
this time, i wanted to make chocolate cookies!
i went to the internet to find the recipes of chocolate cookies the day before i wanted to bake,
and it was sort of like a last minute work.
however, i manage to find some,
but the ingredients were those that i didn't know what they were.
in the end, i had to find another recipe that was much easier for me to bake.
however, the next day when i was at the supermarket wanting to purchase my ingredients,
my mother called me and started shouting at me that she has all those ingredients,
so i bought only the brown sugar instead.
she handed me a book of recipe,
i didn't have one of the ingredients that would make the biscuit crispy.
however, she insisted that the ingredients is inside and once again,
we quarrelled.
then, i seeved the flour when i was not suppose to,
and i had to remix the flour properly again.
then when i mixed, i added some chocolate paste but it was just a waste.
in the end, i added in vanilla essence to make it vanilla cookies.
when tried to make the dough into a light and fluffy one,
the flour won't "stick" together,
and i insisted on added bit and bits of water.
however my friend insisted that i shouldn't,
but i still added water,
and to our surprise,
the dough actually became light and fluffy after a while of mixing.
we used the shape cutter to cut the dough into many heart shapes,
and placed them into the oven to cook.
this time, it came out beautifully without being burnt!
and i tried continuously for the past few times,
i noticed that i have successfully completed what i wanted to do,
which is not let the cookies be burnt!
what's more, without butter crisco, that was originally supposed to be in the mixture,
the cookies were only a bit soft,
yet really tasted great when it's being eaten!
it's the best cookie that i've baked,
and i felt really happy,
because i've attained the goals of my purpose of doing the projecT!

nicely baked :D
